Mother of two, wife to Allen. I love to cook, take care of my family (which includes the four-legged ones) and create. I guess my love of crafts and creative projects lends itself to my love of cooking. I love to experiment and make new dishes. Life is about new experiences and I don't like to be bored. I've always loved my cast iron cookware. I have some pieces that are over 100 years old and have been in my family that long! Some pieces were neglected and left to rust, but that is the wonderful thing about cast iron. It can be cleaned up, even if it has to be sandblasted and then re-seasoned. Seasoning cast iron takes awhile but it is worth the time and while you are accomplishing that beautiful, smooth, black patina, you can still enjoy cooking in it!
